Since 1995, Save a Child's Heart has treated more than 4,740 children suffering from congenital and rheumatic heart disease. The annual number of children we treat has grown dramatically from 48 cases in 1996 to over 290 in 2016.

The children we help are treated at the Wolfson Medical Center and housed at the Legacy Heritage Children’s Home of Save a Child’s Heart, both located in Holon. They come from around the globe, from more than 57 countries where adequate medical care is simply unavailable.

Approximately 50% of the children are from the Palestinian Authority, Jordan, Iraq and Morocco, more than 30% are from Africa, and the remainder are from Asia, Eastern Europe and the Americas.

Incredibly, in today’s modern age, at any given moment there are thousands of children suffering from heart disease around the world who require our assistance.

Manoel, Camaroon

Manoel is a sweet smiley two year old from Camaroon! . Manoel is the first child from Cameroon that SACH has ever had. She speaks only French, but still has an easy time making friends and playing with kids in the house. She is a loving girl who is always looking to hug any of the volunteers. The SACH family is excited to see her happy and healthy back home in Cameroon.

Abdul, Zanzibar

You will never see Abdul , or Duley as we call him, without a smile. He is one of the happiest children here at the Save a Child’s Heart Home. He is truly a special kid. When Abdul first arrived at the SACH house he was lacking oxygen due to his condition. He could move as fast or play as long as the other kids. Now that he has had his surgery he has more energy and is happier than ever before. We are so happy to see this smiling ray of sunshine healthy again.

Darin, West Bank

Darin is a 6-year old girl from Beith Lehem, a city in central West Bank. She is smiley and sweet little girl. She always manages to be happy and have fun even at the hospital. Darin has had multiple surgeries before she was able to be helped by Save a Child's Heart. This year she was treated by our doctors at Wolfson Medical Center. Now Darin is doing great and recovering back at home. The SACH family is so happy to see this sweet little girl happy and healthy!

Hannah, Myanmar

Hannah is a 5-year old girl from Yangon, the capital of Myanmar. Hannah is Save a Child’s Heart’s very first child from Myanmar. The SACH team and family are so happy to give Hannah a second chance at a happy and healthy life. Hannah is an intelligent young girl who speaks great English and is very social with all the volunteers. Hannah loves to play the piano, sing, dance, and pretty much do anything musical. She hopes to one day grow up to be a doctor, and her mother, Mu Mary, hopes she will go into Cardiology. Mu Mary cannot believe that they are here in Israel and is very thankful to SACH for saving her daughter’s life.
